บทบาทและคุณค่าของงานปอยหลวงต่อสังคมวัฒนธรรม จังหวัดเชียงใหม่และลำพูน

Abstract

           การศึกษาในครั้งนี้ จัดทำขึ้นโดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาบทบาท และคุณค่าของงานประเพณีปอยหลวง ต่อสังคมวัฒนธรรมจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ และลำพูน โดยเลือกใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเซิงคุณภาพในแนวทางของวัฒนธรรมศึกษา และใช้การศึกษาข้อมูลภาคสนามเป็นหลักในการดำเนินการจัดเก็บข้อมูล ข้อมูลที่รวบรวมได้ใช้การวิเคราะห์เซิงพรรณนา และการตรวจสอบข้อมูลแบบสามเส้า ผลการศึกษา พบว่า บทบาทและคุณค่าของงานประเพณีปอยหลวง ประกอบด้วย บทบาทในด้านการทำนุบำรุงพุทธศาสนา การแสดงออกด้านความเชื่อ การสืบ^,ทอดภูมิปัญญา การสร้างความสามัคคี ของชุมชน การสร้างความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างเครือญาติ การแสดงความกตัญญูต่อบรรพซน การสร้างความสัมพันธ์ของ “หัววัด” และการชัดเกลาสังคม งานปอยหลวงมิคุณค่าต่อคณะศรัทธาซาวบ้านด้านจิตใจ และด้านสุนทรียะ คุณค่า ต่อชุมชน คุณค่าด้านการแสดงภูมิปัญญาและคุณค่าด้านการปลูกฝังคุณธรรม

           The objectives of this research were investigate study the roles and values of Poi Luang to socio-cultural of Chiang Mai and Lamphun provinces. The methodology used in this research was a qualitative one which emphasized on field studies, which included collecting data from key informants in the villages. The research tools used to collect the field data were interviews and observations. Then the data were treated with descriptive analysis and triangulation check The results were as followed: The roles of Poi Luang included supporting Buddhism, expression of beliefs, transmission of local wisdom, social cooperation, family unification, gratitude towards ancestors, relationship among the temples, and socialization. The values of Poi Luang were conceptions of people’s spiritual values and aesthetics; for the society, local wisdom were recognized and ethical values were accepted.
